The album was written entirely after the events and emotional turmoil of 7th of October 2023, and is deeply inspired by Noa’s activism in the field of peace and human rights. 

The songs are also deeply inspired and informed by ideas, concepts and awareness born of Noa’s personal, spiritual journey, that began several years ago and is still lighting her path.

The name, “The Giver and the See”, helps reveal one of the secrets of the album: 

The controversial phrase, “from the river to the sea”, was one of her deepest hidden inspirations. Noa seeks to “detoxify” this poisonous coupling of words, by creating a new context and vision for the land between the river and the sea, as she has done over 30 years of activism:  that of compromise, shared humanity, compassion and peace. She has “planted” rivers and seas in all of the songs of the new album, which is, in itself, a musical river, reflecting her view of the artist and the art as giving , generous entities, and sources of  hope in a sea of tears, light in the darkness that enfold us from birth to death.

 The word “see” that appears in the title (it is not a spelling mistake, Noa means: see), seldom used in this context, means a protectorate, a place of security and safety.
